Clarkson Safety Services selects SoundTube RS500 for VA in Sainsbury's stores

July 2009

The SoundTube RS500 pendant loudspeaker has been choosen by Clarkson Safety to optimise the voice alarm systems they install in Sainsbury's stores. The RS500's superior high frequency dispersion has allowed to reduce the number of loudspeakers considerably. The direct plug-in BS5839-8 compliant optional terminal has allowed to reduce the labor time involved in modifying the previously used loudspeakers. The result is a higher performance loudspeakers that offers great intellegibility to the public without a sensible price increase.

SoundTube HP range in Dublin airports's latest terminal for PA/VA

June 2009

SOund Directions has just supplied a total of 46 SoundTube HP loudspeakers to be installed in the new Dublin airport T2 terminal which is due to open to the public in April 2010. The sound system design team from Arup Acoustics had to overcome the challenges of great ceiling heights, long reverberation times and ambient noise. They selected the HP890i and HP129i to be installed in the open ceiling areas at heights greater than 10 meters. Thanks to their 100 degrees dispersion high frequency compression driver, they are delivering  a consistent full range sound over large areas at sufficient levels to overcome paublic and airplane noises.

ASDA LISTENS TO SOUNDTUBE

June 2007

ASDA is so impressed with the perfect performance of Soundtube loudspeakers that it is installing them in every store.

British retail giant Asda has been using SoundTube pendant loudspeakers since 2000, installing SoundTubes in their audio-visual department for high quality audio playback of movie trailers.

Now ASDA is installing SoundTube BroadBeam dispersion loudspeakers in their stores for paging customers and staff and background music playback. A spokesman for ASDA reports that not only has the stores’ musical atmosphere improved, but customer announcements are now clear and easy to follow.

Thanks to SoundTube’s exclusive constant directivity dispersion, the specification, wiring and installation processes of this top-quality product have been simplified. Andy Eastbury from Direct Communications, ASDA systems integrator says: "It is unusual to achieve installation time reduction, increase client satisfaction and stick to the same budget all at once. SoundTube made this possible for us."

So far 18 ASDA stores have been fitted with SoundTube and more are on the way. So next time you’re in an ASDA, listen out for SoundTube sound!
